Hi! I'm Jordi. I’m an award-winning writer for theatre, television, and film.

I’m fascinated by people — how we think and feel, the impossible choices we make, the ways we hurt each other, and how we try to make things right. My work is character-driven, emotionally layered, and often explores women, relationships, family, identity, and the histories we carry with us. I’m drawn to ambitious stories that live in complicated emotional territory — and to building the creative teams that bring those stories to life.

As a playwright, my work has been produced across Canada and internationally, published, translated into multiple languages, and recognized with the Carol Bolt Award for Playwrights. My plays include Between the Sheets, Caught, This Will Be Excellent, Brontë: The World Without, In Seven Days, The Cut, and a new stage adaptation of Little Women.

I’ve collaborated with many of Canada’s leading theatre companies, including the Stratford Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, the Grand Theatre, Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, and Nightwood Theatre.

For television, I was a writer on CTV’s acclaimed crime drama Cardinal and have worked in countless development rooms across various genres.

I’m a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Bell Media Prime Time TV Program and the National Theatre School of Canada’s Acting program.

UPCOMING:

My newest play, The Cut, premieres at the Winnipeg Jewish Theatre before its Toronto run with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company in the fall of 2026. I’m currently adapting my award-winning play In Seven Days into a feature film, with Jennifer Podemski serving as Executive Producer; developing a new original television series with Bell Media and Crave; and writing my first novel.
