about
Hi! I'm Jordi. I am an award-winning writer for theatre, TV, and film.
I’m fascinated by people—how we think, feel, make impossible choices, hurt each other, and try to make things right. My work is character-driven, emotionally layered, and often explores the role of women in society, both in the world we live in now and the histories we carry with us I’m passionate about telling ambitious, emotionally resonant stories and about building the creative teams that bring them to life.
As a playwright, my work has been produced internationally, published, and translated into multiple languages. Some of my plays include Between the Sheets, Caught, This Will Be Excellent, Brontë: The World Without, In Seven Days, and a new stage adaptation of Little Women.
I’ve collaborated with many of Canada’s most respected and innovative theatre companies, including the Stratford Festival, Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, the Grand Theatre, Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, Tarragon Theatre, Theatre Passe Muraille, Nightwood Theatre, and more.
For television, I was a writer on Season 4 of CTV’s acclaimed crime drama Cardinal, and I’ve contributed to numerous development rooms across genres. I bring a clear creative vision, sharp instincts, and a deep love of collaboration to every writers’ room I’m in.
I'm a graduate of the Canadian Film Centre’s Bell Media Prime Time TV Program
and the National Theatre School of Canada's Acting program.
UPCOMING:
My current projects include commissions for the Stratford Festival and the Harold Green Jewish Theatre Company, as well as the development of my own original TV series.
I live in Toronto, Canada with my husband, daughter, and cat who eats way too much.
